BREAKING: LASG EXTENDS OKADA BAN TO FOUR MORE LGAs AND SIX LCDAs

LASG has yet extends Okada ban to four more LGAs and six LCDAs. Governor Sanwo-Olu directs full enforcement effective from September 1, 2022.

The Lagos State government has added four more Local Government Areas and five Local Council Development Areas to the list of councils where okada operations are banned.

They include,
1. Kosofe Local Government
a. Ikosi-Isheri LCDA
b. Agboyi-Ketu LCDA

2. Oshodi-Isolo Local Government
a. Isolo LCDA

3. Shomolu Local Government
a. Bariga LCDA.

4. Mushin Local Government
a. Odi-Olowo LCDA

The Full List of affected LGAs are now 10; which are Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Surulere, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Apapa, Mushin, Somolu, Kosofe and Oshodi-Isolo.

The continuous ban announcement could be in reference to series of recent events in the Lekki area involving the gruesome murder of a man, identified as David by accused motorcycle riders.
